Pins are complete!

Our pins have finally been completed and shipped out to me! They arrived while I was in Salt Lake City for FanX comic con (thank you everyone who stopped by!) and I will begin processing them shortly. I will be locking addresses tonight, and begin sorting pins.

You will recieve a 48 hour notice to change your address if needed. Please be sure to check your email for a note from BackerKit. 

Once I have a substantial amount of pins graded and packaged, I’ll begin shipping. I have only just arrived home, but I did open up a box to peek inside and they turned out beautiful. Here are a handful of them: 

I still need to check out the rest of the boxes, but so far they turned out so pretty! I hope everyone will be as happy with them as I am.

Hello everyone! A quick update on the pin production progress. Currently, my manufacturing rep informed me that about half of the pins are completed at this time. As far as I know, the rest of the pins shouldn’t take too much longer as they are currently in production. We did have an issue with one of the designs, the pegasus, as one section was done incorrectly (we both missed it in the proof, and my rep managed to catch it after they were finished) and we agreed to have them remade. 

As of right now I would estimate completion and shipment to me in 1-2 months, hopefully without any further delays. Once the pins are on their way to me, I will make sure to post another update. We have to remember that this was another HUGE order (our last project was roughly 14,000 pins, this one we did a little over 10,000) and I would prefer my manufacturer to take their time to ensure the best quality than to rush them. 

Also! I will be at Megacon Orlando this coming weekend and I will be selling a handful of pin designs, wall scrolls, prints, and bookmarks in person. If you happen to be in the area, come stop by and say hi at Booth #211A 

Preorders for UK backers will open up as soon as I have the pins confirmed on their way and coupon codes and an update will be sent out as well. Keep an eye out for updates!

Production under way!

Hello everyone! We don't have a whole lot new to report, but production is steadily going and my manufacturing rep sent me a few pictures of some of the bases that have been made so far. You can see them down below!

They will be filled with enamel, polished down, and then put in a gold plating bath. I love seeing progress pictures, and I think they look so beautiful so far! 

Because of the size of the order, it'll still probably be another 2 months before the pins make their way to me, but I'll keep you guys posted on the production and where we're at. There isn't much else to report, I hope that everyone is having a good weekend!

Time to fill out surveys!

Hello and good day to you all! Yesterday morning, we sent out all surveys! If you haven't already, take a moment to search your email for a survey from BackerKit. BackerKit is a crowdfunding pledge manager that makes it much easier to keep track of orders and makes shipping much easier. You can select your pins and purchase add ons if you wish. We've got elemental metal bookmarks that were revealed in a previous update and stickers available for all of the pin designs. 

Can't find your survey? Allow me to direct you to the Survey Recovery Page where you can put in your email and get access to your survey. 

It's very important that you fill out your survey ASAP! About 60% of backers have filled out their surveys, which means that 40% of the counts are still missing. The sooner we can get a more accurate count, the sooner I can place our big enamel pin order and get the manufacturing process going. I always order a little extra to give some buffer room for defects, extra orders, and inventory for my shop as well, but it's best if we get an accurate idea of how many I'll need for fulfillment before ordering. Once we hit about 80% of surveys filled out, I'll get the order placed. So, if you haven't filled out your survey yet, go, go, go!

Smoke Test Survey Sent

The smoke test surveys have been sent out! This means that a handful of you (5% of backers) will receive your survey first and make sure that everything in the survey runs smoothly before we publish it for everyone else. If you received a survey this morning, that means you are one of the smoke testers and any feedback you have is greatly appreciated. If you run into any issues with the survey, please contact me immediately so that I can fix the survey before it goes out tomorrow morning. I'll do my best to answer your questions and provide any fixes if there are any problems. 

We've already run into a couple of minor snags that should already be fixed, oops! This is why the smoke test is important, and hopefully we have everything smoothed out.

Also note, that if you selected add ons through Kickstarter, you'll choose your designs in the check out section of the survey. This is a newer feature that we're all still getting used to, and BackerKit has accommodated their survey process to try to make it as simple as possible. Again, if you have any questions, let me know! 

If you haven't received a survey, don't worry, you'll get one by tomorrow morning.
